How It Works
DEMO
- The Pro-Builders Risk program is designed for builders with 25 or more starts per year. The program administers a blanket builder's risk insurance policy underwritten by The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.
- To obtain a quote, the builder completes a one-page Quote Request Form that can be mailed , faxed or emailed to Pro-Builders Risk.
- Within 5 business days, you will receive a Pro-Builders Risk proposal that contains a comprehensive summary of coverage along with 5 different deductible options.
- Most builders that obtain a Pro-Builders Risk proposal decide it is the best solution for their business. Pro-Builders Risk may be written on an annual audit basis or an annual premium reporting basis. The annual audit basis includes a deposit premium based on estimated annual sales with the final premium determined from an audit of actual sales. The annual premium reporting basis is a “pay as you go” method where each new start is reported via Pro-Builders Risk's software and an annual premium is paid for each new start.
- If the annual premium reporting basis is selected, Pro-Builders Risk will schedule a short employee orientation for the builder's personnel to learn the program. This 30 minute meeting may be a teleconference including many participants or the meeting can be conducted on site at the builder's offices. The Operational Guidelines are an integral part of the training process.
- The builder's personnel use their password protected access to Pro-Builders Risk to initiate coverage for each new start. It takes approximately 3 minutes for the builder's personnel to enter information and to print the Certificate of Coverage for their lender.
- On the first day of each month, Pro-Builders Risk will submit a detailed report to the insured builder of each building insured during the prior month. The builder is given 5 business days to review the report and to request any corrections.
- On or about the 10 th day of the month, OMNI will initiate either an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) from a designated checking account withdrawing the premiums for the starts insured during the prior month or the balance may be charged to most major credit/debit cards.
- Each loan is insured for up to 12 months and the premium is fully earned when paid. When the completed project is sold, it should be deleted from Pro-Builders database of insured locations. If desired, the Pro-Builders Risk system will print a final Certificate of Coverage showing the actual coverage dates.
- Pro-Builders Risk will identify any loans that remain in the system 60 days prior to their annual expiration date. Pro-Builders Risk personnel will call the insured builder to determine if the coverage needs to be renewed for an additional 12 months. Pro-Builders Risk will provide up to 24 months of coverage on any insured building subject to the builder's request for the second year of coverage. The builder can renew the coverage via the Pro-Builders Risk software with just a few clicks of their mouse.
- If the builder does not provide renewal instructions or does not renew the coverage using the Pro-Builders Risk software, the builder will receive an expiration/non-renewal notice 45 days prior to project's renewal date.
- The Pro-Builders Risk system will automatically delete any project that has not been renewed on or prior to the project's annual expiration date.
